About Us

2 Homeless Vets

2 Homeless Vets was founded by Bob Hildreth and Joshua Mencl to provide aid and hope to homeless veterans.

How do we do it?

We develop programs for both healing and vocational training for homeless veterans.

To sustain our mission, we're securing long-term, short-term, and mid-term rental properties, creating an ongoing income stream to keep our programs thriving. We have several potential properties lined up:

🔨 Fix and Flips: Housing and training opportunities for veterans.

🏡 Fix and Hold & Move-In Ready Properties: Generating funds to continue supporting veterans in their healing journey.

Homeless to Hopeful

We do this by:

1) Getting them started with our handyman program where they get paid for helping the community.

2) Providing help and guidance on getting connected with their VA benefits.

3) Creating a healing community

4) Building a place where they can live, work and heal

Joshua Mencl

Josh served in the Army from 2007 to 2015 as a specialist (E4) and seargant (E5). During this time, he experienced two one-year long deployments to Iraq. Upon coming home, he strugged greatly with his mental health which affected his family, friendships, and career. After many years and continuous support from his loved ones, he overcame the majority of his mental health struggles and was able to thrive once again. This is why he chose to dedicate his time and energy to 2HomelessVets. This is a cause close to his heart, as he experienced homelessness during his years of adjusting to the outside world. Josh is looking forward to meeting you and sharing his healing journey with you through the work he does to support this cause. He functions in the company as the fensing specialist, which helps provides financial support for the housing mission of the company. In addition to fensing, he spends a considerable amount of time training veterans in trade jobs to prepare them for entering the workforce. We are proud to have Josh as a partner.
